Abeja sits in East Williamsburg — the stretch between the L and the M, where the warehouses turned into studios and roasteries. Take the L to Montrose or Morgan and cut through Scholes Street.
The Coffee
We roast small batch Latin American single origins in-house at 349 Scholes. Colombia, Guatemala, El Salvador — sourced with attention to the farm, the process, and the season. Every bag is roasted fresh in the same building where you drink it.
Espresso bar up front. Roaster in the back. That's the whole operation.
The Space
Abeja is a working roastery that doubles as a neighborhood café and event space. On any given day you're drinking coffee a few feet from an active roaster. On some evenings we run coffee cocktail nights, DJ sets, and private events.
We're part of the creative corridor that runs east from the Williamsburg waterfront into Bushwick. If you're in the neighborhood for the galleries, the studios, or the shows — this is your coffee stop.
Latin American Roots
Our sourcing is rooted in El Salvador and extends across Central and South America. We work with farms and cooperatives that prioritize quality and transparency. Washed, natural, and honey-process lots rotate seasonally.
